Voi Secures Two-Year Stockholm E-Scooter Licence
Voi has been selected, alongside Bolt, as one of two operators licensed to continue running e-scooters in Stockholm, with Lime set to exit the market. The city's Traffic Committee decided in December 2025 to reduce from three to two operators to create a more stable and orderly market. The total fleet cap of 12k scooters remains unchanged, so with fewer operators each will manage a significantly larger share. Voi has committed to expanding its operating zone by 40-60% during the two-year permit period, with further investment planned in parking solutions and technology.
Goldman Sachs Backs Ryde in Majority Stake Deal
Goldman Sachs Alternatives has become the lead investor in a new Equip Capital-managed fund that has acquired a majority stake in Ryde and provided additional growth capital. Since Equip’s initial investment in 2021, Ryde has expanded from 3k scooters in four Norwegian cities to more than 120k vehicles across 69 cities in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Germany. The company reported €75.5m in revenue and €30.4m in EBITDA in 2025, EBIT grew more than fivefold between 2023 and 2025, from €3.4m to €17.3m and plans to accelerate its European expansion, including growth in Germany and the addition of e-bikes to its fleet.
OKAI Launches New Vehicles and Charging Station for 2026
OKAI has introduced three new vehicles and a charging station for 2026. The EB001 is a shared e-bike featuring a side-loading battery swap system and a low-step frame designed for accessibility, with up to 70 km of range. The EB320 and ES700S are both seated, low-center-of-gravity vehicles aimed at longer urban trips, the EB320 is an e-bike with 80 km of range, while the ES700S is a scooter offering up to 85 km of range. The new charging station supports up to 40 charging points and integrates fleet management tools including remote monitoring, vehicle locking, and scheduling. OKAI will showcase the lineup at Micromobility Europe 2026 in Berlin on June 2–3.

Lime Launches "Pride in Motion" Global Campaign for 2026
Lime is launching its Global Pride 2026 campaign, "Pride in Motion," spanning over 21 cities across the US, Europe, and Australia. The campaign includes Pride-wrapped vehicles in select cities, donations to over 24 local LGBTQIA+ organisations, and an awareness push across social media, in-app, and email channels. Participating cities include New York, London, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Sydney, each with a locally led partnership and donation plan.
FENGQS Tackles All-Terrain Commuting with New Q8 E-Bike
The American e-mobility brand FENGQS has officially launched its new Q8 and Q8 Plus electric mountain bikes. The entry-level Q8 offers an accessible, highly capable setup featuring a 2000W peak motor and up to 85 miles of range, while the heavy-duty Q8 Plus steps up performance to a dual-motor system that pushes a staggering 6000W of peak power and 50 mph top speeds. Designed cleanly and quietly with North American outdoor enthusiasts in mind, the versatile lineup offers high-end specs and full UL safety certifications at highly competitive sub-$1k and sub-$1.5k price points.
ENGWE Introduces USB-C Charging on New Budget E-Bike
Shenzhen-based e-bike maker ENGWE has launched the new Zip folding e-bike, a budget-focused model whose standout feature is USB-C charging, allowing riders to recharge the battery using the same charger commonly used for laptops and other consumer electronics. The innovation eliminates the need for proprietary charging bricks and could simplify ownership for urban commuters and first-time e-bike buyers. As manufacturers seek to improve user convenience and lower barriers to adoption, ENGWE's approach highlights a growing trend toward standardization and consumer-friendly design in the electric bicycle industry.
ONECNA Launches New Commuter E-Scooters
Electric mobility brand ONECNA has launched the A2 and T3 electric scooters in North America, expanding into the commuter segment with models priced below $650. Designed for urban riders, the scooters offer extended range and enhanced performance, reflecting growing competition among manufacturers targeting affordable, feature-rich micromobility solutions.
YT Launches New Avinox-Powered Decoy X Bikes
German direct-to-consumer bike brand YT Industries has expanded its electric mountain bike portfolio with the launch of the Decoy X CORE range, a four-model lineup built around the new Avinox M2S motor platform. The e-enduro bikes feature up to 150 Nm of torque, 1.3kW of peak power, and an 800Wh battery across all frame sizes, delivering high-performance specifications at significantly lower price points than many competing premium e-MTBs. Starting at €4,499, the CORE range reflects a growing industry trend of making next-generation e-bike drive systems more accessible while helping YT strengthen its position following its return to the market earlier this year.
HiKNiGHT Launches GTX1 Electric Off-Road Motorcycle
American electric mobility manufacturer HiKNiGHT has launched the GTX1, a new electric off-road motorcycle featuring a claimed 4kW peak motor, 48V 21Ah battery, and a top speed of up to 40 mph (64 km/h). Marketed as an affordable alternative to premium electric dirt bikes, the GTX1 is being introduced at a promotional price below $1k, significantly undercutting many competing models. The launch reflects a broader trend of manufacturers targeting the entry-level electric powersports segment with lower-cost, higher-performance offerings as competition in the e-mobility market intensifies.
Milan Bergamo Airport Launches E-Bike Rental Service
Milan Bergamo Airport, operated by SACBO, has launched NextBG, a premium e-bike rental service featuring a fleet of more than 25 Bergamont electric bicycles available directly from the terminal. Developed in partnership with mobility company DIF and bike manufacturer Bergamont, the initiative aims to promote sustainable tourism by enabling visitors to explore Bergamo and its surrounding attractions immediately upon arrival. The launch further strengthens the airport's positioning as a cycling-friendly transport hub and highlights the growing integration of micromobility services into travel infrastructure.
