May we suggest you write about a safe alternative to lithium batteries - zinc. A lot of money is going into trying to make lithium batteries safer - manufacturing quality assurance, safer chargers, coatings, flame proof boxes, etc. We have developed and tested a zinc based battery (on a well known e-bike, 48V, 900Wh, top speed 20mph) that does not catch fire, is competitively priced, and can be recycled. Thanks.

Good points. We're going to be talking *a lot* about the ins-and-outs of battery safety at both our events this year. Stay tuned :)
