Just in time for the holiday season, Himiway’s C1 is a tiny electric dirtbike intended for children from four to 12 years of age. It has a top speed of 15 mph (24 kph) and an estimated range of 50 miles (80 km).

Rotwild, the German bicycle manufacturer, has introduced its inaugural electric gravel bike. The innovative R.R275 X seamlessly combines the DNA of a racing frame with an integrated electric drive, featuring a push-button activator, a sleekly embedded display, a down tube-encased battery, and a compact mid-motor within the carbon frame.

PNY announced the Ponie 2, an electric cargo motorcycle capable of hauling 120 kg (265 lbs) of cargo with a top speed of 100 kph (62 mph). It’s intended for use in Europe as an L3e class motorcycle with deliveries expected to begin in Q2 2024, while a three-wheeled version (dubbed the Ponie 3) is still in the works.

Belgian ebike manufacturer Cowboy announced a suite of new anti-theft features for their products, including GPS tracking and generating theft reports for law enforcement and insurance companies. Cowboy ebikes have an impressive 94% recovery rate!

Lambretta, known for its iconic retro-inspired scooters, unveiled a new electric model at EICMA. With a top speed of 110 km/h (68 mph), the Lambretta Elettra is highway-capable and features an 11 kW (15 hp) electric motor and a 4.6 kWh lithium battery. Notably, like Vespa, Lambretta opted for a single non-removable battery, a move that might impact charging convenience for urban dwellers.

Electric mobility specialist VMoto has been working with design firm Pininfarina on an electric maxi-scooter concept which they unveiled at EICMA last week. 

Also announced at EICMA 2023 is Honda’s latest electric scooter, the sleek looking (but awkwardly named) SC e:. It will be equipped with two swappable battery packs and Honda confirmed it is heading for production.

Long recharge times are a barrier to entry for electric motorcycle ownership, but Yadea’s latest naked sport motorcycle can fast-charge to 80% in just ten minutes. This sport bike is dubbed the Kemper and also boasts a top speed of 160 km/h (99.4 mph) and peak power of 40 kW.

Giant Group has announced their first electric bike equipped with a throttle. The Momentum Cito E+ is a compact ebike with fat tires, a category that has surged in popularity due to its wide utility.

Barcelona-based electric scooter manufacturer Silence is known for their roll-along removable batteries, and now they’re partnering with IRP systems to improve the performance of their scooters.

The E-Velo-Cabrio is a new cargo electric bike on four wheels that can haul up to 120 kg (265 lbs) of cargo. The modular rear compartment can be customized with a variety of cargo and storage solutions.

Japanese startup KG Motors is working on a tiny single-seater electric car. Currently dubbed the “Minimum Mobility Model”, this miniature four-wheeler is fully enclosed with air conditioning, has a top speed of 60 km/h (37 mph), and measures just 2.5 meters (8ft 2in) long by 1 meter (3ft 3in) wide.

The No Pogo SL from Centurion is a lightweight trail ebike packed with high-performance technology, including Bosch’s newest Performance Line SX motor. This is Centurion’s most premium model to date and it tips the scales at only 19 kg (42 lbs).

Chinese manufacturer QJ Motor has announced two new electric dirtbikes. The enduro-style OWO has a top speed of 100 km/h (62 mph) with five kilowatts of power, similar to a 50cc gasoline dirtbike but with significantly higher torque. Their smaller model, the Q2, has geometry closer to that of a mountain bike with a smaller three kilowatt motor and a top speed of just 45 km/h (28 mph).

KYMCO’s Ionex battery system has already placed thousands of battery swap kiosks in Taiwan, and now they have announced several major expansions for Ionex that will enable partnerships with energy companies, EV manufacturers, and third-party network operators.
