Bradford Launches E-Scooter and E-Bike Pilot Program
Bradford is joining Ontario's e-scooter pilot to offer shared e-scooter/e-bike programs, aiming to reduce traffic and improve transit access. Under the pilot program, e-scooters must have a motor of no more than 500 watts, a top speed of 24 kilometers per hour, and riders must be at least 16 years old.
FLIT Secures £1.2M to Scale E-Bike Production
FLIT has raised £1.2M in funding from ACF Investors, Cambridge Angels, and Tony Purnell. The investment will speed up production of their FLIT M2 folding e-bike. With Integrated battery and lights, FLIT M2 uses a no-weld bonding technique to reduce weight and enhance structural precision. The M2 model weighs 14.5 kg with a 50 km range, designed for urban commuters.
About 4k e-bikes and 8 Operators in Barcelona
8 operators secured 497 licenses each, to run bikes and e-bikes in Barcelona. Bird, Bolt, Voi, Lime, Donkey Republic, Cooltra, and Ride-Movi are confirmed, while the eighth is undecided, with Hello Bike in the lead.
Simple Energy Launches Updated E-Scooter
India's Simple Energy launched an updated One electric scooter with a 248km range (up from 212km) at $1.9k. It retains a 5kWh battery split into fixed (3.7kWh) and portable (1.3kWh) units. New features include a tire pressure monitor, regen braking, and a USB port.
Plymouth Considers Joining E-Scooter Trial
Plymouth City Council considers joining the UK’s e-scooter trial, which is active in over 20 cities. Councillors will discuss submitting an expression of interest to the Department for Transport (DfT). The e-scooter trial period in the UK is set to end in May 2026.
FTN Motion Launches Streetdog80 Motorbike
New Zealand based FTN Motion launched the Streetdog80, an electric motorbike reaching 80 km/h with a 140 km range (with extra battery). FTN plans expansion into Australia in April and their bikes start at $7.6k.
Melbourne Launches E-Scooter Parking Initiative
Yarra City Council in Melbourne is introducing designated e-bike and e-scooter parking bays, a first for Victoria, with plans for 40 more. Lime is working with councils in Victoria, Brisbane, and Sydney to expand these spaces. In NSW, e-scooters are not yet widely permitted, but the state is working to trial them in local councils.

Beryl Cuts Unlock Fees in Dorset
In Dorset County, UK, Beryl is reducing unlock fees for its shared bikes, e-bikes, and e-scooters to £1 starting February 14. A new £5 bundle for 50 minutes will also be introduced. The scheme was launched in June 2019 and has recorded 2.36m rides.
Flagstaff Explores Micromobility Return
Flagstaff City Council in Arizona is considering reintroducing shared micromobility. Spin ran a six-month bike-share pilot in 2018. The city and MetroPlan will explore vendors, with a vote on the program set for a later date.

Fark Labs Invests in Tripy Mobility
Turkish micromobility operator Tripy Mobility secured investment from Fark Labs for European expansion. It operates 4k e-bikes in three Turkish cities and plans to reach 30 million people by year-end. Tripy is also exploring e-cargo bikes, taxis, and accessible e-bikes.
