Trek announced a recall of all Allant+ 7 models equipped with Tektro brakes, citing risk of a possible brake hose issue which could pose a safety risk to users. The is Trek’s second recall this year.
U.K.-based designer Bo released the full-specs for the Bo M, the self-declared “world’s most sophisticated electric scooter.” It’s honestly hard to argue with the copywriters on this one. The Bo M has an incredibly sleek design and comes equipped with a 1,200W hub motor listing a top speed of 21 mph (35 kph) as well as a 655Wh battery claiming a range of 31 miles (50 km). The unit is now headed for production.
Santa Cruz recently introduced the Heckler SL, an all-mountain ebike weighing an easy 42 lbs (19 kg), peaking at 450 watts of power, and pushing out 60 Nm of torque. The bike is built around a full suspension frame making it a solid vehicle for rough trail-riding.ds
U.K. based brand Estarli revealed a new electric cargo bike called Longtail. The Longtail is a versatile bike that is easily customizable for varying personal preferences and can carry a hefty 484 lbs (220 kg).
Los Angeles-based company Rawrr’s new electric dirt bike dubbed, Mantis, is a fully capable off-road climber, jumper, and speedster. Weighing a moderate 165 lbs (75 kg), the Mantis churns out 10 horsepower, claims a range of 75 miles (120 km), and hits a top speed of 50 mph (80 kph).

After actor Ryan Reynolds raved about his luxe $120,000 electric motorcycle on Instagram recently, the bike’s maker, Arc, saw an explosion of interest. Now the British startup is allowing the general public to schedule demos, but there’s a catch. You have to prove you are able to afford it before you can ride.
Specialized just released a new electric gravel bike. The Creo 2 is a high-powered, lightweight two-wheeler with a mid-drive motor revving up a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph). The Creo 2’s 320Wh battery claims a range of 80 miles (128 km) and its Future Shock hardware makes rough terrain ride smooth.
Canadian bikemaker Rocky Mountain just released the Blizzard PowerPlay, a fat-tire electric bike built for bad weather. The snow bike’s Dyname 4.0 battery is built to withstand frosty conditions and has a max power output of 700W.
Heybike’s updated Mars 2.0, which will start shipping next month, promises improved performance and increased off-road capabilities. The folding ebike has a 750W rear hub motor and can reach a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph). It has 4 inch thick fat tires, a rear cargo rack, and LED lights.
TVS announced the creation of India’s first-ever electric motorcycle racing series. The series will center around a new electric motorcycle platform developed by TVS exclusively for racing.
Canadian startup Teleport unveiled their new high performance commuter ebike. The minimalist design looks like an acoustic bike, but features a slim 36-V battery that reaches 100 miles (160 km) of range in eco mode. It weighs a light 34 lbs (15.4 kg) and can carry up to 290 lbs (131.5 kg).
Ride1Up has released the Prodigy V2, a new mid-drive ebike with a top speed of 28 mph (45 kph) and range of around 30-50 miles (48-80 km). It has a lightweight frame, a high powered motor, LED lights in the front and back, hydraulic disk brakes, and a 9-speed cassette.
Here’s an interesting collab: Classic Legends, an Indian manufacturer, is teaming up with the University of Warwick in England to develop its first electric motorcycle. The company aims to launch the new vehicle in 2024 and will share more details in the coming weeks.
Honda has partnered with local dealer associations to produce the Honda Shogo, a wonderful tiny ride-on vehicle to transport patients at American children’s hospitals. The mini car is built for kids ages 4 to 9 to navigate hospital hallways.
Longtime bike-maker Moots is finally tapping into the electric vehicle market with the Moots Express. This gravel ebike has a massive max range of 100 miles (160 km). The bike is also fitted with a 540Wh removable Shimano battery. With tough tires and full suspension, the bike is built for long, outdoor adventures.
REI bike brand Co-op Cycles showcased their first electric mountain bike. The DRT e3.1 features a mid drive motor reaching a top speed of 20 mph (32 kph), a 12-speed drive-train, full suspension, and hydraulic disk brakes. The bike is REI’s first to be produced in-house.
London YouTubers installed an ebike conversion kit on an armchair and went for a ride around the city.
