E-Scooters Deployed in Moncton Amid Regulatory Grey Area
Move Scooter Rental, a Halifax-based micromobility company, has deployed 150 e-scooters in Moncton, with plans to expand to 250, capitalizing on a regulatory grey area as local bylaws lack explicit e-scooter rules. The company entered the market without formal city approval. The service has quickly gained popularity, with Move reporting 400 to 500 rides daily, even before the peak season.
