In spite, or perhaps because, of ongoing lockdowns and economic upheaval, the marketplace for micromobility continued to expand at a rapid clip during the first half of 2021.
The latest version (3.0) of our industry-defining Micromobility Landscape, compiled by the intrepid Alessandro Zenati, underscores the soaring demand for urban mobility alternatives in recent months, highlighting hundreds of firms from around the world that sell products or services related to micromobility.
Released today, the new version of the report is our largest to date, containing 750 unique companies (an increase of over 5x from the original Micromobility Landscape two years ago).
These companies span various markets, business models, and products that, collectively, enable urban residents to live a more car-free existence, from online grocery startups and bike-rack builders, to e-scooter operators and robotics ventures.
For simplicity’s sake, we’ve reduced the number of categorizations down to 4 main verticals (Manufacturing & Retail, Shared Micromobility, Software & Services, Smart Cities) and 15 sublayers, even while increasing the total number of entries.
We encourage you to explore the Micromobility Landscape below.
The Micromobility Landscape is a snapshot of the most prominent micromobility solutions currently available on the market. Maintaining the list is a constant work in progress. If you have a new company that you would like to see included, or know of one that we may have missed, we encourage you to submit an application here.
