The XP Lite 2.0 is the latest in the Lite series from Lectric, and boy, have they made some improvements here. First off, it’s insanely light for an e-bike at this price point, coming in at about 39-40 pounds without the battery installed. It also folds, making it incredibly easy to transport. Check out our full review.

Canyon Bicycles issued a ‘Stop Use’ notice to Spectral:ON CF & CFR and Torque:ON CFR owners regarding battery safety. Canyon noted that battery housings are developing cracks that could allow water to penetrate the case and short-circuit the electronics.

Sixthreezero announced the ANYterrain Stabilized 4-Wheel Electric Bike. This unique e-bike is actually a quadricycle with 4” knobby tires and tilting front wheels for stable turning. It has plenty of carrying capacity, with a 350-lb weight limit and two large baskets in the front and rear. The 750W rear-axle motor will get you moving and has a reverse pedal function for backing up with ease.

Möve Mobility partnered with E-Plus-3D, a specialist in metal 3D printing, to create the Avian titanium e-bike. This ultra-lightweight touring e-bike uses 3D printing for parts of the frame, bottom bracket and titanium sleeves, which were then connected to hydroformed titanium tubes, resulting in a sub-30 lb (13.5 kg) e-bike. The Avian will be available in July 2025 for $6,286 (€5,990).

Chinese motorcycle brand CFMoto unveiled the CF-X, a 450CC-equivalent electric dirt bike concept. Production should begin at the end of 2025. CFMoto already builds two kid-focused e-motos, but the CF-X will be its foray into full-sized electric motocross.

The retro-futuristic Eyelights Rocket One electric superbike uses a visor-integrated Heads-Up Display that overlays navigation tools like Waze, Google Maps, and Coyote directly onto the rider’s field of view. In addition to its cool tech, it packs 180 horsepower and 1200 Nm of torque for a zero to 60 mph time of 2.6 seconds. While a production date has yet to be announced, the Rocket One will push the upper boundaries of electric motorcycles.

Australian man breaks a Guinness World Record on a LiveWire to raise awareness of the capabilities of electric motorcycles. He rode a continuous 962.7km (598 mi) to set the ‘greatest distance on an electric motorcycle in 24 hours’ record at the Adelaide International Raceway.

Gogoro enters utility territory with its new CrossOver e-moped, slated to launch in 2025. The new CrossOver will have a healthy range of over 93 miles (150km) and is loaded with features such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, a digital instrument console, call or SMS alerts, 18 L under-seat storage, a “find my vehicle” feature, and display and traction control.

The Car. los V1 could be the best of both worlds. This e-cargo bike folds in half, and its front bucket collapses for maximum storage. However, Carlos Mobility didn’t skimp on the components; a Brose T Drive mid-drive motor powers it and its Enviolo CVT drivetrain provides automatic shifting for a smooth riding experience around the city.

Building on the success and lessons learned from the F77 Mach 2, Ultraviolette will reveal a new e-moto in 2025. The new electric motorcycle will be one of four new segments the India-based brand will expand into - ADV, cruiser, roadster, and super sports.

University engineers in Arizona have created a handlebar-mounted bike “dash cam” that automatically records dangerously close passes from vehicles. The camera captures crucial evidence, such as license plate numbers and passing distances, which cyclists can submit to law enforcement.

Ola Electric’s latest electric scooters, the Gig and S1 Z, will be equipped with new Bharat 4680 cells. These high-energy-density cells, coupled with a wider operating temperature range, deliver longer ranges, faster charging, and enhanced performance, making them perfect for India’s diverse climate.

Stark Future unveiled its Varg EX, a street-legal electric enduro powerhouse with 80 HP and customizable power delivery, engine braking, and regenerative settings. The Varg EX redefines electric enduro with a high-capacity 7.2kWh battery that offers 20% more range than its off-road sibling, Varg MX. It will be available for pre-order in Q1 2025.

Announced earlier this year, the Terran T1 Pro e-cargo bike takes rider (and passenger) safety to the next level with lots of tech not typically found on e-cargo bikes. In addition to its auto-deploying stabilization gears, it features a front 180° camera that helps the rider see better when hauling large loads while a rear camera and radar warn the rider of approaching cars from behind, a smart light system with turn signals, brake lights and a light-sensor low/high beam headlight.

JackRabbit recently introduced a new OG2, and the original OG will be phased out. But don’t worry—you can score an OG for $799 before it’s discontinued.

This DIY Cyberbike looks like something out of a Batman movie. DK the Welder fabricated a self-balancing e-bike that is built around hoverboard tech.

Continuing the DIY thread, can you build an e-bike without electronics? This maker follows a “no electronics” rule to design and 3D print e-bike conversion kit using a reed switch motor.

Germany’s national organization for standardization has created a new standard for e-bike battery charging cabinets. Simply put, it stipulates that any fire, heat or smoke that erupts inside a cabinet must stay within the cabinet and exterior cabinet surface temps can’t exceed 300℉ (150℃).

Scott pulls out all of the stops with the new Patron e-Ride. Scott’s biggest e-MTB is outfitted with the Bosch 800Wh battery, which delivers 85Nm of torque and up to 600W of assistance. And if that’s not enough, you can add a PowerMore range extender for a total of 1050Wh. The e-Ride integrates the rear suspension into the frame's seat tube, a Scott signature design intended to lower the center of gravity and protect the shock from dirt, thus increasing its lifespan.

Velotric extolls the Discovery 2 as the most comfortable e-bike they offer. Indeed, with the inclusion of a seatpost suspension, the Discovery 2 blows a ton of e-bikes on the market out of the water as far as comfort goes. A few of the most notable specs include a 750-watt motor, 14.7Ah battery (which is the most waterproof battery on the market), hydraulic brakes, three ride modes, five levels of pedal assist, and some cool tech (like Apple Find My and app integration). California will deliver an early present for potential e-bike buyers this holiday season. The state’s long-delayed $3M income-based e-bike incentive program will officially begin on December 18, giving Californians the opportunity to receive up to $2,000 towards the purchase of a new e-bike.

Rad Power Bikes has teamed up with Upway, the marketplace for new and pre-owned electric bikes, to offer a trade-in program where customers can trade in their current e-bikes for discounts on upgraded models at any of the eight RadRetail locations across the U.S.

We were happy to see that Micah Toll from Electrek stopped by Micromobility America last month. If you didn’t have a chance to attend, never fear, Micah provided a nice rundown of the vehicles, tech, and presentations at the show.

Niu is transitioning to a D2C sales model for its XQi3 e-moto, which may come as a welcome option for consumers wanting to avoid haggling with dealers. While Niu will ship directly to consumers, they’ll still offer the option of having bikes shipped directly to dealers for assembly.

The Ultraviolette F99 has become the “all-time fastest Indian motorcycle” with a new quarter-mile record of 10.7 seconds. (The F99 has a claimed top speed of 265 km/h.)

Entry-level e-scooters are getting better and better. If the NIU KQi-100F is any indication, we’re going to be seeing some great new scooters coming onto the market in the coming months. For $349, the NIU KQi 100F is pretty impressive, and it’s got a few extra features compared to its counterpart, the KQi 100P. Watch the video below to learn more.

Cube e-bikes is introducing X-Connect, a plug-and-play solution that simplifies bike light installation. Seamlessly integrated into Cube’s 2025 Reaction Hybrid and Stereo Hybrid series, it eliminates the need for complex mounting and wiring when replacing or upgrading your e-bike’s lighting.

Segway is charging into the world of ultra-endurance racing, unveiling its Dakar Race Bike in the 2025 Dakar Rally’s ‘Future Mission 1000’ category, dedicated to trailblazing electric vehicle innovation.

Built on a full carbon fiber frame, the Solar Scooter E-Clipse 2.0 combines dual-sport performance with nimble design in a sleek 138-lb package. Powered by a robust 72V 45Ah battery delivering 6kW, this street-legal e-moto’s sweet spot is on light trails and commuting urban streets.

Dust Moto launched the Hightail, its inaugural electric dirt bike, which is claimed to punch above its weight class with 42hp and 660Nm of torque in a sub-220-lb package. Priced at $10,950, the Hightail can be pre-ordered with a $100 deposit. Shipping will begin in late 2025.

The new Wink Mark 3 is the electric low-speed vehicle that’s designed to feel more like a car than a golf cart.

Over on Ride Review, Mitch takes us into the woods for an e-bike hunting adventure on the Puckipuppy Boxer ST camo hunting e-bike. Responding to the rise in popularity of e-bikes for hunting, Puckipuppy packed in a lot of extras on the Boxer ST, like front and rear suspension, 4” knobby tires, and a 750W hub drive motor - all for $1,499. After a 40-year hiatus from making motorcycles, Canadian-based Can-Am announced plans to produce its new 2-wheeled Origin and Pulse electric motorcycles.

Lectric’s generous philanthropic model ($2.5M in charitable donations in 2023) inspired this YouTube content creator to purchase an e-bike with the sole purpose of giving it away to someone in need.

This week’s set of wheels is the Retrospec Boca Rev, one of the more affordable ($1,599) and value-packed electric trikes on the market. Our impression: Solid torque and a decent ride-feel make the Boca Rev worth a look for trike-curious riders. Check out our full review below.

LAND LABS, the custom-build group of LAND, announced an exclusive release of the Super District e-moto. This high-performance variant of the District delivers higher torque, is equipped with Michelin PILOT STREET 2 tires, and enhances rider protection with fork and hand guards. A limited release of 50 Super Districts will be available for order starting next month.

With $100M in deposit-backed reservations and a Nasdaq debut, Damon Motorcycles promises that it will begin production of its highly anticipated, much delayed electric motorcycles next year. CEO Jay Giraud assures riders that the 200-mile, 200-mph, 200-hp Damon HyperFighter remains on track for delivery in 2025.

Otherlab has unveiled a bold new solar-powered scooter that could alleviate range anxiety. The Lightfoot has two solar panels built into the body that can add up to three additional miles for every hour of charge from the sun. Plus, you can fit several bags of groceries inside. It will be priced at $4,995, with deliveries anticipated to begin as early as January 2025.

Lectric is rolling out the XPeak 2.0 adventure e-bike with some welcome upgrades, while retaining the original price of $1,399. The Gen 2 version now comes with1,300 peak watt motor, a torque sensor and an optional 960Wh battery that can deliver 80 miles of range. (Stay tuned for our full review later this week.)

Yadea’s new Kemper e-motorcycle can charge to 80% in 10 minutes and reach a full charge in 18 minutes.

MOD Bikes steps back in time with the Easy Sidecar Sahara e-bike, inspired by the 1940s BMW R 75 Sahara. Along with the iconic design, the Sahara is equipped with a dual crown suspension fork, additional headlights, and an easy access door on the sidecar for four-legged friends.

Chinese two-wheeled producer Mihogo loaded the new Air e-bike with 921Wh of frame-integrated batteries to deliver up to 128 miles of range. Tipping the scales at a reasonable 60 lbs for the dual battery option, the Air could be a contender for your longer commutes.

South Korean startup Kosmos unveiled the Nova7 e-bike, which features a proprietary mid-mount internal 5-speed gearbox paired with a rear hub via a low-maintenance belt drive. Kosmos is currently running an Indiegogo campaign for The Nova7, and if funding is successful, hopes to deliver e-bikes by spring 2025.

LiveWire is the latest e-moto company to use retro gaming design to appeal to a younger generation of riders. In celebration of the Anti Social Social Club’s 10th anniversary, Livewire created the 2004 Xbox-themed S2 Del Mar.

Moustache has initiated a voluntary recall for its Friday 28, Dimanche 28, and Dimanche 29 e-bike models after identifying a potential manufacturing defect that could cause the forks to fail. Riders should stop using these bikes immediately; necessary repairs, including free fork replacements, will be provided by your local dealer.

The Whyte ELyte Evo gets an upgraded Bosch CX motor, potentially redefining mid-travel e-MTBs by delivering increased power, quiet operation, and agile handling alongside robust performance.

Here’s the TL;DR version: The XPedition 2.0 is WAY better than the 1.0, which is a huge shoutout to Lectric’s ability to innovate. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at FTN Motion, New Zealand's first boutique electric motorbike builder. FTN just expanded into a new production facility that should allow it to produce 700 Streetdog e-motos in 2025.

DJI is integrating its camera tech into the new Amflow e-MTB. In an update that’s sure to appeal to the YouTube creator crowd, this enables wireless control of the Osmo Action 5 Pro camera from the bike’s handlebar remote switches.

E-cargo bikes have gotten a lot of press recently, but PNY is raising the bar with the new Ponie P2 e-cargo motorcycle. The Ponie P2 will have a generous 400L cargo capacity and can reach 60 mph, which expands its versatility on longer routes, including freeways.

Dutch e-cargo bike maker Carqon is recalling around 1,500 cargo bikes. The recall involves the Classic, Cruise, and Flatbed models, which may have handlebars that come loose or, in rare cases, break when used intensively.

A YouTuber sets out to demonstrate how much energy is wasted in disposed vape batteries - and to make his case, he powered an e-bike with discarded vape batteries. [Note: Do not try this at home!]

The Fucare AWD Gemini X is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. The dual battery, dual 750W motor, 99 lb beast is marketed as an e-bike but its performance specs resemble those of an e-moped.

In an effort to level up electric motorcycle performance to its petrol-fueled equivalents, Zero is partnering with White Motorcycle Concepts to develop an Intelligent Aero duct that was introduced on the Zero S/RS. The aero duct channels air through the middle of the motorcycle body, improving aerodynamics by 10%.

Tromax introduced the M03 Plus and M03 Pro electric urban commuter motorcycles at the EICMA show in Milan. Aimed at the European market and designed to compete with fuel-powered motorcycles, the M03 Plus reaches a speed of 45 km/h and will be priced at €2,199. The M03 Pro, which can attain a speed of 70 km/h, will be available for €2,499.

Dodge pays homage to the original bikes built by the Dodge brothers with its new retro-styled e-bike designed by BYTECH. In true Dodge style, it prioritizes power and performance with a 52V, 20Ah removable LG battery that drives a 1000W Bafang motor, delivering up to 95 Nm of torque and a 28 mph top speed.

Zero answers the call for less expensive electric motorcycles with six new models under $10,000, starting with the Zero XE, a $6,495 e-dirtbike.

At long last, the Royal Enfield unveiled the Flying Flea C6 roadster this week. The retro-futuristic e-moto has a classic front girder suspension, a magnesium battery case, and a motor that resembles an original crankcase. The original Royal Enfield Flying Flea was a lightweight motorcycle designed to be dropped from the sky alongside paratroopers during World War II.

Honda introduced a trio of new two-wheeled EVs: the Honda EV Fun Concept, its first performance-oriented electric motorcycle; the CUV e moped designed for the European market; and the much-anticipated Honda Activa e-moped which will be the electric successor to the popular Honda 110.

KYMCO announced its long-anticipated RevoNEX electric motorcycle. Built around LiveWire’s Arrow S2 platform, the production model is expected by 2026.

Flyer revealed its second-generation enduro e-MTB, the Uproc Evo:X, with two models, the 8.50 and 4.10. Both are equipped with the latest Bosch Performance Line CX motor and powered with a frame-integrated 800 Wh PowerTube battery (with an optional Bosch PowerMore 250 range extender) and Shimano’s latest Hill Start Assist and Extended Boost tech.

Platum and Pininfarina join forces to demonstrate that electric urban mobility can be stylish as well as sustainable. The sophisticated E-Moped 500 takes inspiration from the Fiat 500 and delivers sound practicality with removable batteries, a healthy 115 km range, and an under-seat storage that can easily fit a helmet.

Spanish EV maker Silence is stepping into the electric motorcycle realm with its new S05 Weekender. The 208-lb commuter e-moto will have a range of 83 miles, a top speed of 75 mph, and come in at a reasonable price of $3,755 (€3,500).

India’s Oben Electric is announcing the Rorr EZ commuter e-motorcycle. The Rorr EZ batteries utilize lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology, renowned for its high heat resistance and longevity, especially useful in India’s varied climate.

Husqvarna unveiled the Pioneer, a street-legal electric dirt bike. Aimed at beginner riders, the Pioneer weighs in at a reasonable 247 lbs, offers 37 Nm torque and allows the rider to customize power and traction modes.

The US e-cargo bike market is getting a bold new player. Introducing the STREEK from Yokohama, Japan—a unique e-cargo trike with an innovative surround loop frame, which allows cargo to be hung from the top bar or stacked on the multiple decks, and dual tilting front wheels, with suspension to add stability. US distribution will be managed through Vvolt.

Shimano updates the firmware on the race-specific EP801 drive system that will deliver an even higher assist level that will easily achieve the maximum 400% assist ratio for Boost Mode; a customizable max speed cut-off progression; and extended carry-over assist when riders stop pedaling.

Chinese EV producer TAILG announced its S96 MAX electric moped, which will feature the high-efficiency Star Ring Magnetic Motor that is claimed to increase range by over 13% while reducing the motor weight by half.

Hero introduced its first e-moped for the European market, the Vida Z. Interestingly, Hero is using the Vida Z as an introductory two-wheeler EV, followed up by a range of ICE models to follow.

Channel your inner Marty McFly with the latest creative rendition of the DAB 1a. DAB has created a “Back to the Future” themed 1a electric motorcycle that includes a speedometer that tops out at 88mph and a flux capacitor trim detail. Plus the whole thing is clad in stainless steel body panels.

NIU’s electric dirt bike is officially here! The XQi3 is loaded with premium components and is an absolute blast to ride, available online or at one of NIU’s many dealers around the globe. Fiido updated its popular C11 with the new C11 Pro city e-bike. Fiido’s latest model now features a Mivice S200 torque sensor for smoother pedal assistance and a larger 499 Wh battery that delivers 16% more range than the original C11. The C11 Pro brings style and affordability to city cycling, debuting with a discounted launch price of $1,099.

As a tribute to the original 1978 Hurricane, Schwinn announced a new Hurricane e-bike designed for younger riders. This Class 2 e-bike shares some of the original’s retro lines and is powered by a 250W motor with a reasonable top throttle speed of 17.5 mph for safety.

Building on the early success of its first e-bike conversion kits, Swytch has introduced the MAX+. This latest version features more battery capacity, a front light, and the option of installing a rear hub motor. Plus it will be compatible with thru-axles. It’s priced at $1,300, but you’ll have to get on the wait list as the first batch is already sold out.

Desiknio’s 26-lb Endorphin e-bike, with a sleek, non-electric look, features a Mahle X20 rear hub motor powered by a seamlessly integrated iX 250 battery, available in drop or flat bar and starting at $6,360

Electrification is changing the mountain bike world but data passports, full integration, and universal battery standards will define the future of e-MTBs.

Texas-based Volcon is abandoning the high-performance, high-cost Stag UTV ($40,000)—and introducing the MN1 Light Utility Vehicle (LUV) that has a (relatively) more reasonable $9,999 price tag. In the near future, Volcon will also roll out the HF1, another LUV but with higher performance, to help fill the void of the Stag.

For 2025, Mondraker redesigned the Crafty Carbon full-power, enduro e-MTB. Engineered around the 29” wheel size, the Crafty Carbon is equipped with the new Bosch CX motor. Riders will have a choice of removable 600Wh or 800Wh batteries.

Spanish retailer Cecotech has unveiled a new lineup of urban electric mopeds. Their range includes three 50cc-equivalent e-mopeds (Skull, Piazza, Shark) and three 125cc-equivalent e-motos (Vulcano, Shark RS, Halo). Prices range from €999 for the base Skull, all the way up to €2,999 for the Shark RS.

Thok unveiled the TP4 eMTB, which is claimed to be fully “Made in Italy,” with production, painting, and assembly all done within Italian borders. The Thok also incorporated a unique 3D-printed aluminum prototyping process that transformed the TP4 from design to final product in 18 months.

Trek’s new Slash+ 9.7 SLX/XT is the enduro eMTB that makes you think you’re riding an acoustic mountain bike.

Cannondale launched two new urban-focused e-bikes, the comfort commuter Mavaro and the sportier Tesoro X, that have an upright design which prioritizes comfort for the rider. Both models are available in multiple component specs so you can the ride that fits your needs.

The B’Twin F900E is Decathalon’s first front-loading e-cargo bike, designed for families with room for up to 4 kids in the front basket. It’s priced at £4,999 in the UK and €4,999 in Europe, but it does include GPS tracking service for a year.

E-bike pioneer Pedego is partnering with Electric Bike Company to offer customized US-made e-bikes. Pedego will add EBC’s “Customizer” display in its brick-and-mortar stores, allowing shoppers to design a personalized e-cruiser that will then be manufactured at a facility in Newport Beach, CA.

Fuell, the e-bike and e-moto startup that was started by motorcycle industry legend Erik Buell, has entered into Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings and will liquidate its remaining assets in order to pay creditors. Unfortunately, many customers who pre-ordered Flluid-2 and Flluid-3 models may not see their money again.

Tenways just announced an 8-speed chain version of the popular CGO600 Pro, originally offered as a single speed belt drive commuter e-bike. The chain version will use a Tenways’ branded C9 350W hub motor. Otherwise both models are specced similarly. The chain CGO600 Pro is now available on Tenways’ website with a $500 discount for $1,399.

The founder of eROCKIT is appealing to investors to fund its Human Hybrid drive technology which integrates the pedaling design of an e-bike with a more powerful motor and larger components of e-motorcycles to deliver acceleration of up to 60 mph.

Switzerland-based Softcar announced the unique L7e 4-seater microcar which is comprised of only 1,800 components as compared to the the automotive average of 45,000 components. Softcar is also taking a contrarian manufacturing approach to the modern gigafactory by utilizing local micro-factories which only produce 5000 units/yr with profitability achieved at 2,000 units.

San Diego e-bike pioneer Juiced Bikes declared bankruptcy and auctioned off its branding, IP, remaining inventory, and assets for $1.2 million. The winning bidder is unknown at this time.

Sadly Energica, one of the original e-moto pioneers is declaring bankruptcy too. The company, which plans to liquidate its assets to pay off creditors, is also caught up in a labor dispute with its employees over contracted pay.

Microlino takes its roof off with the new Spiaggina. This fun variation of the popular microcar forgoes side and rear windows making it ideal for sunny trips around your favorite European beach destination.

UK-based BackPedal is a theft recovery service that uses GPS trackers, Bluetooth beacons, and an intrepid team of bike hunters to recover 89% of stolen e-bikes.

Relatedly, Voom is making it easier for e-bike owners to protect their investments. Originally a motorcycle insurer, the company is now offering e-bike insurance that covers liability protection, physical damage coverage, theft protection, and even medical payments.

Or, if you don’t want your e-bike stolen in the first place, you could disguise it to look like an electrical box…

In its push to launch 30 new models of two-wheeled EVs by 2030, Honda is taking a regional approach. This week, the Japanese OEM launched two new commuter e-mopeds exclusively for the Indonesian market:  the CUV e: and ICON e:

Honda also announced a new RTL Electric competition trial bike, to compete in the 2024 Motorcycle Federation of Japan, All Japan Trial Championship Series. The RTL Electric will build on the legacy platform of the Montesa COTA 4RT trial bike which has been ridden to 18 consecutive consecutive Trial World Championship titles.

Royal Enfield has dropped a teaser for its long-awaited electric motorcycle in a new video. The upcoming model will be officially unveiled next month.

Meanwhile, at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, Renault unveiled its new Heritage Spirit Scrambler electric moto.

MiRider is filling the gap between its 16” and 24” wheel size models with the new MiRider 20 folding e-bike. The 20” wheel model will be available in a single- and three-speed option. The MiRider 20 will be available for pre-order at the end of October, with shipments starting in November.

Bo Mobility is expanding into Ireland. In contrast to the UK’s restrictive stance on e-scooters, the Green Isle’s more progressive regulations made it a natural fit for Bo. Lifty Electric in Dublin will serve as the company’s retail and service center.

Acer joined the mobility party last year with their ebii e-bike, and now they’re expanding with a new scooter rocking their Predator gaming arm branding. The Extreme e-scoot has a motorcycle-inspired frame and will be available in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for a starting price of €1,299.

Savic Motorcycles is finally preparing to start deliveries of its C-Series Alpha electric motorcycle to customers in Australia. The company started working on this model in 2016 and faced numerous challenges through the years, but persevered and successfully crowdfunded $800,000 USD to finalize production in May of 2023.

Sixthreezero has a new electric trike with a tadpole design (two wheels in front, one in the back). This adds considerable stability, especially since this model —creatively named the “Two Front Wheel Electric Trike”— has steering linkage that allows it to lean into turns.

If you prefer your trikes to be a bit more extreme, perhaps you’ll like the Tectus: an all-terrain, all-weather mobility scooter. Made by Canadian e-bike company Daymak, The Tectus has a fully enclosed cockpit, with premium options including air conditioning, GPS tracking, and finger scan keys.

Husqvarna’s electric bike division announced the Grand Panther 6, a hybrid e-bike that blurs the line between city commuting and off-road adventuring. Electric assistance is provided by Yamaha’s PWX3 mid-drive motor which peaks at 85 newton-meters of torque, combined with an excellent 12-speed Shimano Deore XT drivetrain.

Zeeho, an electric two-wheeler brand owned by Chinese titan CFMoto, announced its second electric moped for the Nepalese market. The Ae6+ has a top speed of 80 km/h (50 mph), starts at Rs 344,900 ($1,235 USD) and is intended to compete with offerings from Segway, NIU, and Yadea.

Electric motorcycles don’t have gearboxes, which is a bummer for ICE riders who enjoy the more involved experience of shifting gears. Indian company Matter looks to change that with the Aera 5000+, an adventure bike with a four-speed gearbox.

Also coming to India is the Scoobike MotoFaast 35, a new electric moped from Okaya EV. Intended to provide the feel of a motorcycle in the form factor of a moped, it boasts a range of up to 130 km (81 mi) and a top speed of 70 km/h (44 mph).

A consortium of German and Czech companies are working on a hydrogen-powered motorcycle design which they hope to transform into a working prototype by 2025. Unlike Yamaha’s concept which uses a hydrogen combustion engine, the Hydrocycle runs on electric power generated by a hydrogen fuel cell.

Citroën Ami has competition in the UK from Spanish mobility company Silence, who announced their S04 electric microcar. It has the smallest turning radius of any such vehicle currently on the market at just 3.5 meters (11’6”), and while its range of 148 km (92 mi) is double that of the Ami, so is the starting price of £15,995 ($20,180 USD).

AIMExpo 2024 is in full swing and Team Micro is here covering the event from the show floor. We’re interviewing exhibitors, checking out new products, and even competed in the Super73 e-bike race! Check out our recap of day one.

On display at AIMExpo are electric dirtbikes from Chinese startup Gowow. Their flagship model, the Ori, has a minimalist enduro design with a 50:50 weigh distribution, and generates an impressive 420 nm of torque.

Heybike has teased more information about their upcoming fat tire adventure e-bike, the Hero. It features a full-suspension carbon fiber frame, a 750 watt mid-drive motor, and a nine-speed Shimano pedaling drivetrain.

British brand GoCycle is known for their lightweight & minimalist folding e-bikes, so we were surprised to hear them announce two new cargo bikes. The CXi and CX+ are undoubtably GoCycle with their monocoque folding design, but they’re serious workhorses capable of carrying up to 220 kg (480 lbs).

British startup Hilo EV developed a new lighting module for micromobility vehicles. Called the Intelligent Road Illumination System (IRIS), it uses cameras and AI to dynamically adjust lighting based on rider behavior and the environment.

Daeji Precision Company is a Korean manufacturer focused on special-purpose vehicles, the latest of which is a series of luxury electric golf karts. They come in four and six seat versions and include a wide array of cabin features such as HVAC, heated seats, and a thermoelectric refrigerator.

Trek’s newest electric mountain bike will be one of the most affordable Bosch-equipped products on the market, starting at $2,699. It’s using Bosch’s Active Line Plus motor and is available in five different frame sizes.

Tempo is a new service designed to make owning an electric bike easier. Called the “AAA of e-bikes”, it provides services including bike insurance, roadside assistance, repair & maintenance support, and theft prevention.

Belgian e-bike manufacturer Cowboy now offers an On-Demand service providing in-home maintenance and repairs. The new service was trialed successfully in several European cities before launching, and allows customers to use the Cowboy app to request a range of services including bike setup, maintenance packages, and tire repairs.

Honda made a big commitment to electrification and now they’ve unveiled their first electric two-wheeler for the Indian market. Called the Benley E, it’s an electric moped with front and rear cargo decks and battery swapping technology, and Honda hopes to bring it to market by the end of 2024.

Also coming to the Indian market is the XGT CAT 3.0, a three-wheeled cargo moped from Komaki. It can carry a substantial 500 kg (1,102 lbs) of cargo and is intended for both commercial and consumer use, and it’s powered by a fire-resistant graphene battery.

Ola Electric has launched yet another variant of their S1 X electric moped. Version 4 features a 4 kWh battery pack - the largest yet for the S1 X line - for a hefty maximum range of 190 km (118 miles).

Battery-swapping specialist Gogoro announced details about the Pulse, their upcoming electric moped. The first such vehicle to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset, it’s packed with smart features like an active-matrix lighting system that adapts to speed, turns, and even weather conditions.

Pure EV’s AI-driven software platform, called X, will now be used on its entire line of electric two-wheelers. X software provides advanced driving features and increased range, and received positive responses from riders during a trial run on two of the company’s ultra-long models.

Kinetic Green is making an electric version of the Luna, their iconic ICE moped. The E-Luna will enter the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 74,990, powered by a 2kWh battery with a range of 110 km (68 miles).

Surge, the electric division of Hero MotoCorp, introduced an innovative “class-shifting” vehicle that can transform between a two-wheeled moped and a three-wheeled rickshaw. Called the S32, it’s designed to give owners the flexibility of two vehicles at the cost of one.

Stromer’s premium ST5 Pinion debuted in Europe last year, and now it’s available in the US market, provided you’ve got $12k to spare. It features automatic gear changes from the electronic Smart Shift system, a Gates Carbon belt drive, and is powered by a 750 watt rear hub motor.

ICE motorcycle titan Suzuki has been slow to electrify with only one model so far, but now they’re committing to launching eight electric models by 2030. Details are sparse but we can expect a mix of mopeds and full-sized motorcycles. Suzuki still plans for 75% of its portfolio to be ICE models and is looking into carbon-neutral fuel sources.

Chinese manufacturer AIMA is bringing a new city-style electric bike called the Santa Monica to the US market. It starts at $1,599 and is powered by a small-profile 750 watt hub motor, part of a custom drive system developed in partnership with Bafang. AIMA is relatively new in the US but has a strong presence in Asia; learn more in our brand profile video.

Ola Electric’s newest moped model is designed specifically for the commercial market. Not many details are known yet, but it’s expected to have a minimalist “function over form” design and will target last-mile delivery and B2B sectors in India.

Godawari Electric will debut the Eblu Feo X electric moped at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in February. An upgrade to the company’s popular Eblu Feo model, the X series features added convenience with 28 liters of under-seat storage.

Brompton is known for their ultra-lightweight folding bikes, so it comes as no surprise that their latest electric model weighs only 34 lbs (15.6 kg). The P-Line Explore has 4- and 12-speed drivetrain options, with a range of up to 45 miles (72 km).

Propella is bringing two new electric bikes to market, having just started shipping on the 9S Pro, its budget-friendly commuter that starts at $1,199 USD. The newly anounced MINI MAX is a compact utility e-bike, notably the first Propella model to have a throttle.

OKAI announced six new models of electric bikes and scooters for 2024. Unveiled at CES earlier this month, the new models include a monstrous off-road scooter called the Panther ES800, and an e-bike without a built-in display that can optionally pair with a smartphone for riders who want more visual information.

Engwe announced a commuting electric bike called the P275. It’s the most premium model yet from the UK-based manufacturer, featuring a carbon belt drive and an internally geared hub with automatic shifting.

BMW’s CE O2 electric two-wheeler launched last year in the US and Europe, and now BMW plans to bring it to market in India. It’s somewhere between a moped and a motorcycle, with footpegs instead of a floorboard, and a top speed of 95 kph (59 mph).

Moke announced a battery system upgrade for its flagship micro car, the Moke America. It’s a Low-Speed Vehicle restricted to 25 mph (40 kph), capable of 40 miles (64 km) of range and charging from a standard 110V outlet.

The RV400 BRZ is the latest electric motorcycle from India-based Revolt Motors. Starting at Rs 1.38 lakh, it features a 3.24 kWh battery pack with fast-charging capability, with a maximum range of 150 km (93 miles).

HeroMotoCorp is India’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer but they’ve moved slowly on electric, only offering one electric moped model (the Vida). That’s set to change in 2024 with HMC announcing plans for three new electric models, which include both consumer mopeds and a B2B model.

The Bukk is a is the first dual-sport electric dirtbike from Cake, allowing the popular Swedish manufacturer to expand into new territory. The Bukk is powered by the brand’s Jante motor with an impressive 456 nm of torque.

Classic Legends, manufacturer for popular ICE motorcycle brands like Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA, announced that it has been quietly working on electrified models. The company will wait to release them until India’s charging infrastructure can support premium models with 300-400 km (186-249 miles) of range.

NIU unveiled two new all-terrain electric scooters with up to 37 miles (60 km) of range. The 300P and 300X have a respective 900 and 1,000 watts of peak power, with a top speed of 24 mph (39 kph) that can be unlocked via the NIU app when riding on private property.

Belgian electric motorcycle manufacturer Trevor Motorcycles is expanding into the global market with their second street-legal model. Dubbed the DTRe Vince, it’s a more affordable offering that will start at $8,260 in the US and €9,950 in Europe.

Look and Cixi are developing an e-bike that has no physical drive system. Unlike most e-bikes that use a chain or belt drive, the Rover 45 uses sensors and wires to detect pedaling and activate the motor, and can recharge from pedaling while coasting or stopped.

Indian startup Raptee Energy is set to launch their electric motorcycle in April of 2024. It features fast-charging capabilities at any CCS2 charging station, with a range of 150 km (93 miles) and a 0-60 time of just 3.5 seconds.

Valeo announced improvements to their Cyclee drive system, which combines a motor with an internally geared transmission. Upgrades include reduced sound output, a new display & control unit, and smartphone integration for convenience and security features.

Spanish startup Crow Bicycles has specialized in electric gravel bikes since their beginning in 2020, and now they’ve announced a new series called Gravital. The bikes are powered by Fauza’s drive system which can be completely removed, reducing overall weight to only 23 lb (10.6 kg).

Verge Motorcycles unveiled new riding software that uses cameras, radar, and AI to improve ride experience and safety. This is part of Verge’s “Human Machine Interface” (HMI) and will be used on their upcoming TS Ultra model.

Segway announced the latest generation of the Ninebot E2 Pro, replacing the previous E2 Plus version. It’s an electric kick scooter featuring integration with Apple Find My, as well as improved battery performance for 20% more range than the E2 Plus.

Riley’s ultra-foldable scooter is coming to the US market. The RS3 has additional fold joints in the deck and stem and weighs only 30 lbs (14 kg), making it a great fit for riders who want to carry it along on a bus or subway.

The Wind Peak is a new high-end electric mountain bike with enduro geometry and a carbon fiber frame. It’s the first foray into electric and MTBs for Spanish manufacturer Finna, previously known for their minimalist road and gravel bicycles.

Electric mopeds from Ola Electric will soon include Ola Maps, part of the MoveOS 4 software update which begins rolling out today. Other features include security features, improved fast-charging and regeneration, and a “Ride Journal” that tracks performance over time.

Jetcycle makes pedal-powered recumbent hydrofoils and now they have an electric version. The E-Jetcycle has a top speed of 19 km/h (12 mph) with a beginner-friendly triple hull design.

Vietnam-based Vinfast is making big waves in the US market, announcing multiple new models at CES. The Drgnfly is a minibike-styled electric bike starting at $2,800, and the VF3 is a miniature electric SUV that’s only 125 in (3.18 m) long.

Also unveiled at CES is the Infinity X Hyper Scooter from Flash Motors. It uses AI technology to learn your riding style and then optimizes the motor, battery, and brakes for personalized performance.

Segway unveiled a slew of new products at CES, including two new electric bikes. The Xafari is a full-suspension step-thru adventure bike, while the Xyper is a dirtbike-esque minibike with a dual-battery option for a massive 2,880 watt-hour capacity.

Bejing-based Ninebot announced a new electric moped for the Chinese market called the Series D. It’s co-branded with EVA and has a starting price of 11,999 yuan ($1,690 USD).

Luna is joining forces with Qualcomm in a new micromobility venture. They’re leveraging AI to create an advanced rider assistance system (ARAS), capable of providing in-ride alerts across a range of high-risk crash scenarios.

Lyric Cycles announced the new X edition of its powerful Graffiti electric bike. The X is even more powerful with a massive 3,000 watt hub motor, but still equipped with pedals so it’s technically an e-bike. The display allows for restricting power output to street-legal Class 2 and 3 modes.

China-based EV manufacturer Geely announced the Panda Knight, a new-and-improved version of their Panda micro e-SUV. It’s only 10.3 ft (3.14 m) long, has an 800 liter trunk, and starts at an impressively low $7,500.

The Niu RQi electric motorcycle was originally unveiled as a concept vehicle at CES 2020, with an impressive 40HP output. The production version has finally arrived, although the maximum output is a much lower 11HP, changed to target European riders with an A1 license.

The Revoltz PORTO is a new tadpole-style electric trike designed for the last mile delivery market. It has large cargo containers over both front and rear axles, and features a tilting balance mechanism to maintain stability while turning.

Anod’s new Hybrid electric bike uses a combination of supercapacitors with a standard lithium-ion battery pack. What’s impressive is that the battery pack a tiny 80 watt-hour pack - about the size of a portable battery bank - but the Hybrid can still manage 43 miles (69 km) of range.

What to Expect at CES 2024

It should come as no surprise that AI will be a focus point for this year’s CES. Urtopia will be unveiling the Fusion, an electric bike with ChatGPT built in. How that will work is anybody’s guess, but we have high hopes as Urtopia is known for their seamless integration of technology in previous e-bike products.

E-bike manufacturer Himiway plans to unveil an impressive eight new models at CES. While four of these are updates to existing products, the other four are brand new and include family-oriented models such as cargo and kids bikes.

Damon Motors will showcase the Hyperfighter, a naked electric superbike with a blistering top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h). The Canadian manufacturer will also be promoting its exoskeleton powertrain, Hyperdrive, which features advanced warning systems and the ability to shift riding position between sport and commuting modes.

Verge Motorcycles will showcase their TS, TS Pro, and TS Ultra models, all of which are powered by a unique hubless rim motor. All of these models have been announced and teased several times already, so we’re half expecting Verge to announce yet another TS variant before finally beginning their first deliveries in mid-to-late 2024.

Honda will unveil more details about its bigger push into the EV market. Details are sparse but the Japanese titan has promised 30 new electric models by 2030, as well as “several key technologies that illustrate the significant transformation Honda is currently undergoing.”

Technology and service giant Bosch will be present at CES with a booth, press conferences, and a panel. They have teased a wide range of new innovations for fleets and electric mobility, including automated valet charging and operation services for shared mobility fleets.

Austin-based Shift Robotics will debut an updated version of the Moonwalker X electric mobility shoes, a novel transportation device that allows you to walk at high speeds for up to 6.5 miles (11 km). The original version fits over regular shoes and weighs in at a hefty 5.2 lbs (2.4 kg) per shoe.

Horwin America will launch the SENMENTI electric motorcycle series, including one production model and two concepts. These are the first products from the California-based manufacturer, and the production-ready SENMENTI 0 is now available for pre-orders.

Cyrusher will be presenting a large lineup of electric bike products, and probably some off-the-wall stuff (like their electric snowboard we covered last week). Expect to see some brand new products as well as demos of their recently announced premium models, the Scout and the Hurricane.

SQUAD MOBILITY will be demoing the Special Edition of the SQUAD, a compact and affordable micro-car with swappable batteries that can charge directly from rooftop-mounted solar panels.

Vanpowers plans to unveil two new electric bike models. The New Jersey startup is known for their first crowd-funded e-bike which was built on an assembled frame with a tenon-and-mortise structure.

Hyundai’s air mobility division Supernal will have a “vertiport” exhibition to show their electric air taxi concept, called an eVTOL. The exhibition will also be used to demonstrate potential flight networks and the use of mobility hubs to simplify travel.

Let’s start things off with a splash: an amphibious e-bike trailer can roll right into the water and transform into a boat! The BeTriton Trailer has dual 1,440Wh batteries with an estimated range of 15 miles (24 km), and a starting price of €9900 ($10,800 USD).

GasGas rolled out three electric mountain bike models, all of which have carbon fiber frames and a “mullet” wheel configuration (29” in the front, 27.5” in the rear). This is the second series of e-bikes from GasGas, who is widely known for their ICE motocross bikes.

Schindelhauer announced two new e-bike models, dubbed the Heinrich and the Hannah. The models differ only in geometry while using identical hardware, with a Bosch Performance CX powertrain complemented by an Enviolo TR hub for stepless and automatic shifting.

Most hydrogen car concepts use a fuel cell to generate power, but hydrogen can also be used with a modified combustion engine. Combine that with the world’s only production motorcycle supercharger and you get the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX: a hydrogen-powered superbike that is now a working prototype after being teased as a concept render at EICMA 2022.

Vanmoof isn’t letting bankruptcy get it down, announcing plans to launch an electric scooter in the first half of 2024. Previously the Dutch manufacturer has only made e-bikes, but the new owner Lavoie has experience with scooter tech from their successful Series 1 model.

Starting in 2024, Zero Motorcycles will offer an impressive warranty covering all components for five years and unlimited mileage. The warranty is even transferable to new owners, but sadly will only be offered in Europe.

This adorable “Solar Buggy” is coming to the US! This micro-car from Dutch startup Squad Mobility is equipped with rooftop solar panels to extend range by as much as 19 miles (31 km) on sunny days, and is planned to launch in 2025.

The Flee 2.0 is a new utility moped unveiled by Indian manufacturer inGO Electric with a starting price of INR 62,000 ($745 USD). It can be modified to seat two passengers, or to carry a combined 75 kg (165 lbs) on the rack and footboard.

Decathlon-owned brand Van Rysel announced the E-EDR AF Apex, a performance-oriented electric road bike. It weighs only 31 lbs (14 kg) and has a starting price of just €2.800 ($3,080 USD), impressively low considering the quality components from SRAM and Mahle.

If gravel grinding is more your style, check out the El Camino from UK-based Sonder Bikes. Based on their popular Camino acoustic bicycle, the El variant is powered by a Kynamic hub motor and offers a variety of riding configurations.

What You Need to Know Today

Paris-based company Upway specializes in the refurbishing and resale of electric bikes, having refurbished over 20,000 models and expanded to several new countries since their beginning in 2021. James Gross and Oliver Bruce get the full story from CEO Toussaint Wattinne in the latest episode of the podcast.

German manufacturer YT Industries has a new and improved version of the Decoy MX Core, their popular enduro eMTB. New features include a larger battery pack and drivetrain equipped with Shimano Freeshift, which can automatically shift gears while coasting.

Rilox EV is bringing two new electric mopeds to India. The Spark Elite is designed for ease of use with a quick-swappable battery and quick charge capabilities, while the Bijli is a utility machine with a modular cargo bay.

Where are the handlebars on this thing? The Motoroid 2 is Yamaha’s new electric motorcycle prototype, used to test cutting edge technologies and radical new ideas. It may also signal Yamaha’s moving into the electric motorcycle sector, as the company has previously focused more on mopeds.

Texas-based manufacturer Denago announced two new electric bike models, and they’re exactly what you would guess based on their names: The Compact Cargo 1 and the Hunting 1.

Velocifero’s new electric moped has charming retro vibes. Launching in Europe in March of 2024, the Tennis-E is an electrified version of the popular Tennis 125.

Up next is the I AM, a futuristic electric minibike from Chinese startup Naxeon. Targeting the European market with an initial launch in France and Belgium, the I AM features fast-charging capabilities and has a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).

Yet another e-moped is coming to India, courtesy of Maharashtra-based manufacturer Jitendra EV. Their latest model, the Primo, has a starting price of Rs. 79,999 ($602 USD) and a top speed of 52 km/h (32 mph).

Renowned Spanish bicycle manufacturer Berria announced the Cayman Electric Mountain Bike, a premium offering powered by Bosch’s Performance Line CX Race motor and a price tag of $6,370 USD.

Also new on the e-MTB scene is the IKKI, made by UNNO (who also happens to be based in Spain). Based on the brand’s popular MITH model, the IKKI is more lightweight and features the efficient TQ HPR50 motor.

The US is lacking in electric moped choices compared to Europe, but that is slowly changing. California-based CSC has begun deliveries of the ES5, a high-speed moped powered by three smaller batteries that can be easily removed for charging indoors.

What You Need to Know Today

Detroit’s Livaq announced the Equad, an electric ATV with body panels made from recycled carbon fiber. It boasts a top speed of 67 mph (108 km/h), with an equally impressive - or alarming - sticker price of $28,600.

Electric motorcycle riders who miss the experience of shifting gears should check out the Moto X from Alien Rides, an electric dual-sport equipped with a clutch and four-speed gearbox. It’s street legal in the United States with a starting price of $7,500.

Tesla seems obsessed with making Cybertruck miniatures. Unlike their mini ATV which we covered previously, the new Cybertruck For Kids looks like the real thing and can haul two small humans at once.

Ride1Up is getting into the performance carbon fiber e-bike game with the CF Racer1. Weighing in at only 27 lbs (12 kg), it can be configured with gravel or road tires and starts at the surprisingly low price of $2,295.

Indian moped manufacturer Evee launched the Flipper, a budget-friendly two-wheeler starting at Rs. 95,000 ($335 USD). It’s powered by a lead-acid battery and has a maximum range of 40 km (25 miles).

Also coming to the Indian market is the Zulu, a value priced moped from Pune-based manufacturer Kinetic Green. The Zulu will be fully manufactured in India and available at over 300 dealerships. 

Scooters typically offer high mobility at the cost of utility, Vancouver-based Scootility is planning to change that. Their utility scooter prototype is more compact and agile than a cargo bike, with an impressive cargo capacity of 80 kg (176 lbs). New from Stellantis is the Fiat 500e, a tiny electric car that will be available in North America in early 2024. It weighs just under 3,000 lbs (1,361 kg), has a range of 149 miles (240 km), and starts at a rather steep price of $34,095. 

Stromer announced the ST5 Pinion, an electric bike featuring the new Smart.Shift electronic shifting system. It’s based on their popular ST5 model with other upgrades including a sound module for audible warnings and notifications.

If you live in Dublin you can now hail an electric pedal cab. If you’re envisioning a rickshaw-style pedicab, think again; these new transporters from Kerb look more like a small train with a fully enclosed passenger section.

Typical cargo ebikes can handle at most a few hundred pounds of cargo, but that is changing soon. French startup Pelican announced the Pelican Train, a series of modular electrified trailers that can be pulled behind an ebike, capable of transporting up to 1,000 lbs (454 kg).

Traditional bicycle manufacturer Cervélo has entered the electric arena with the Rouvida, a high-end ebike powered by the Fazua Ride 60 motor system. It can switch between gravel and road configurations via flip chips, but the switching process requires a dealer-applied firmware update.

These bikes say “GasGas” on the side, but don’t worry, they’re electric! Made by the Spanish motorcycle manufacturer GasGas, the Moto 1 & 2 are Class 2 electric bikes on motocross-inspired minibike frames.

On the latest episode of the podcast, Melvin Lian of VoroMotors discusses his scooter company’s journey, from its beginnings in Singapore to its current base in Los Angeles. Melvin details the challenges he faced in Singapore, including strict regulations that culminated in an overnight ban on scooters. Melvin also talks about the company’s innovations in seated scooters, its distribution of Kaboo and Dualtron, as well as its own EMOVE line of vehicles.

Reebok E-Mobility celebrated its official launch at Ispo Munich 2023. Among other products, the Hong Kong-based company is bringing a range of “Assembled in Europe” electric bikes and scooters to market, primarily targeting larger mass suppliers.

Scottish startup Intra Drive is creating a new electric bike drive system. Dubbed the GD8, the new design combines a motor and eight-speed gearbox into a single mid-mounted assembly, eliminating exposed components and reducing maintenance.

We’ve seen bike camping trailers before, but none as high-tech as the CapsulBike from French company Tinyvroum. Starting at €3,900 ($4,230 USD), it includes 140-watt solar panels, a full kitchen set, and even a shower.

IIT Delhi-backed Surface Moto’s first product, the Surface C1, is now available throughout India. Starting at Rs 64,990 ($780 USD), the Surface C1 features a composite steel frame and can fast charge from 0-100% in just 2.3 hours.

Indian company Bajaj Auto has updated their flagship moped for 2024. Priced at ₹1.15 lakh ($1,380 USD), the new Chetak Urbane is significantly cheaper than its predecessor with an increased range of 113 km (70 miles).

San Diego’s Juiced Bikes announced the Scrambler X2, an updated version of one of their most popular electric bikes. Retaining its iconic mini-bike styling, the X2 features an upgraded 1,000 watt hub motor and a hefty 811 watt-hour battery.

Royal Dutch Gazelle is the latest cycling manufacturer to endorse V2X (vehicle-to-everything technology). Intended to reduce vehicle-cyclist collisions, the technology uses built-in sensors that allow all vehicles - cars and PEVs included - to see each other on the road.

Mondraker has launched a range of eMTBs for kids, consisting of scaled-down versions of the brand’s adult models. Powered by the Mahle X35 hub motor, the range includes both hardtail and full suspension variants, as well as a balance bike.

Honda’s suitcase-sized Motocompacto scooter is impressive, but they’ve got serious competition from a rival Japanese scooter company. The Arma scooter weighs only ten pounds, has a top speed of 14.9 mph (24 km/h), and folds to the size of a lunchbox.

No one likes fixing flat tires. The SMART Tire Company hopes to eliminate them completely with METL, an airless tire that uses shape memory alloy technology borrowed from Mars rovers.

Austrian manufacturer Mag Bike unveiled the ET.1, its latest electric mountain bike. Weighing 30% less than its predecessor thanks to a magnesium frame, the ET.1 has an impressive 160mm of suspension travel on both wheels.

And finally, how about an electric delivery van that’s less than eight feet long? The RUNHORSE has been hiding on Alibaba for years before being discovered by Elektrek’s Micah Toll, powered by a 3,000 watt motor and even featuring an 800 watt heating system.
